Natural Ressource Development Pogramme Formulation in Cambodia, Danida, 2009
The objective of the assignment was to design the second phase of the Natural Resource Management and Livelihood (NRML) programme in Cambodia for the period 2011-2014. The programme was designed with a clear NRM focus, proper geographical targets and beneficiaries, and clear programme management structure. The programme design took forestry and fisheries sectors as the main focus area in terms of NRM and ensured technical and legal support on forestry and fisheries activities (particularly community forestry and fisheries) to be provided to local communities through the Decentralization and Deconcentration process. In order to ensure the transparency within NRM sectors and hands-on support to the local communities, continued support for civil society was taken into consideration within the programme design.

Joint Formulation of Capacity Development in Bhutan, Danida, 2009
The Sustainable Environment Support Programme (SESP) has been conceived to address the environment, climate change and associated poverty concerns as expressed in the Government’s 10th Five Year Plan (2008-2013) and to use the experience gained to help prepare the 11th Five Year Plan beginning around mid 2011. The Government’s strategy is to mainstream environment, climate change and poverty concerns into national policies and programmes and local development plans. The main thrust of the SESP will be to support local governments with plan preparation and implementation, while also supporting the development of the national framework that would provide appropriate strategic directions and guidelines to local governments. The main task of the consultants was to formulate the SESP/JSP and prepare the documents for formal approval by the Royal Government of Bhutan, UNDP/UNEP, and the Danish Government.

Formulation mission to China on a Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme 2009-2013, Danida, 2008
The Chinese 11th Five-Year Programme 2006-2010 calls for greater energy conservation measures and a Renewable Energy Law came into force on in January 2006, which intended to guide the national energy policy. During the visit of a high-level Chinese delegation to Denmark during the spring 2007 the Chinese and Danish governments agreed to develop a long-term partnership that should contribute to fulfilment of Chinas renewable energy goals. Danida endorsed a recommendation to formulate a Renewable Energy Programme with two components: (1) assistance to the establishment of the National Renewable Energy (RE) Centre and (2) a facility to support R&D in and transfer of renewable energy technologies through cooperation between R&D institutions, universities and the private business sectors in China and Denmark.
