Project Summary
Since 2003, the Danish Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP) has played a central role in Denmark’s foreign and development policy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). As part of DAPP’s renewed phase (2022–2027), the DAPP Communication Fund introduces a new approach to public engagement, aimed at informing and influencing key audiences in Denmark on the programme’s contributions to youth empowerment in the MENA region.
NCG serves as the Fund Manager for the DAPP Communication Fund. In this role, NCG is responsible for administering annual calls for proposals targeting communication professionals and organisations, managing grantees, and ensuring high-quality, results-oriented communication in line with strategic annual themes. These initiatives—ranging from campaigns to digital storytelling—support the broader objectives of the DAPP’s two thematic programmes on Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship and Human Rights and Inclusion.
Key responsibilities include:
Organising and managing annual open calls for innovative communication initiatives
Coordinating with the DAPP Grant Committee to define and implement annual communication themes
Managing a lean version of the DAPP website and social media presence
Ensuring ongoing information-sharing on DAPP implementation and results
Facilitating a mid-term conference in Denmark for policy stakeholders and partners
Reporting annually to the Danish MFA on results at both output and outcome level, including audited financial statements
Through this work, NCG strengthens the visibility and public understanding of DAPP’s impact, fostering dialogue and awareness of Denmark’s contributions to building better futures for young people in the MENA region.
From NCG, the team includes Jakob Silas Lund, Thomas Monberg and Homan Filioskoei.
