Project Summary

The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) is a global network that works to ensure a maritime industry free of corruption. In 2021, MACN received funds from the Siemens Integrity Initiative to expand their activities to South Asia (India, Pakistan and Bangladesh), with the aim to improve governance and efficiency of ports by promoting corruption prevention practices and Collective Action among local NGOs and across the local logistics value chain.

NCG was commissioned to undertake an endline evaluation of MACN’s regional expansion project, with a view to assessing the project’s impact on the business environment, and to capture the changes made by the project on the law, policy, or behaviour of market participants towards clean business.

From NCG, the team consisted of Marie-Louise Appelquist and Ayla Olesen Yurtaslan.
