Project Summary

Promoting women's full, equal and meaningful participation in the work with peace and security is a key priority for Denmark and for Danish security and foreign policy and development cooperation. Denmark was the first country to launch a National Action Plan (NAP) on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) in 2005. Since then, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Ministry of Justice (MoJ) represented by the Danish National Police (DNP) have jointly published three NAPs.

NCG was contracted to develop and draft the next NAP (2025-2029) to Denmark’s efforts in implementing the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. This included development of the overall M&E and implementation framework for the NAP.

From NCG, the team consisted of Anne-Lise Klausen.
