Mandate on Ex-Post Evaluations

NCG is currently engaged on the “Mandate for SDC Ex-Post Evaluations”, covering the period from January 2024 to December 2028.

The aim of the mandate is to conduct a series of ex-post project evaluations with a special focus on longer-term impact and sustainability. The evaluations conducted under this mandate will serve the evaluation purposes of strategic steering and institutional learning, while also contributing to accountability toward the Swiss Parliament.

Under the mandate, NCG will provide 8 to 10 ex-post evaluations, which are conducted 3 to 6 years after the final completion of a project. The projects are selected in a randomized selection process every two years by SDC and will cover a range of themes and geographic locations.

NCG’s core team constitutes 4 team leaders, who will be engaged across all the ex-post evaluations, together with thematic and national experts, who are identified for each mandate based on their thematic, geographic and evaluation expertise.
