Helpdesk on Peace, Migration, Humanitarian Assistance and Nexus
26 May 2024
New Framework Won!
We are proud to announce that Nordic Consulting Group Denmark (NCG), have entered into a two-year framework agreement with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) to establish and operate a thematic helpdesk focused on peace, migration, humanitarian assistance, and the Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) Nexus.
The helpdesk’s purpose is to provide Sida with expert support that enhances its capacity in addressing peace and security, migration and development, humanitarian aid, and HDP Nexus synergies. It supports Sida’s ambition to work more holistically across sectors - particularly in fragile and conflict-affected settings - by offering timely, high-quality advice aligned with Swedish policy and strategic priorities.
Assignments range from conflict analyses, portfolio reviews, and migration policy advice to humanitarian assessments, results frameworks, and the development of tools and methods. Tasks are typically short-term and desk-based and initiated through formal requests from Sida or Swedish embassies.
The helpdesk is managed by NCG in consortium with the Netherlands Institute of International Relations “Clingendael” and Deakin University’s Centre for Humanitarian Leadership (CHL). The partnership combines deep academic and operational expertise across the areas of peacebuilding, migration governance, humanitarian programming, and conflict sensitivity. This helpdesk is one of several thematic helpdesks used by Sida to ensure quick access to expert advice across its portfolio, including democracy, gender, environment, and others.
